The MARE is a type of engine that works on the principle of "like pole repel" of magnetism.
The MARE is a modified version of the reciprocating engine, but unlike its ancestors, the piston is replaced by a permanent magnet; its valves and plugs are replaced by an electromagnet; its carburetor or injector, fuel pump, fuel filter and tank are being replaced by the dry cell (battery), generator, induction coil, rectifier and the distributor.
The working algorithm of the MARE is analogue to the two stroke engine.
Compression stroke
The piston moves up from the Bottom Dead Centre (BDC) to the Top Dead Centre (TDC) while the valve or vacuum pump maintains partial vacuum in the cylinder.



Power stroke
As the piston reach the TDC, just before it start to go down again, the distributor arm transfer the high current to the electromagnet, the pole of the electromagnet facing the piston to the pole of the piston facing the electromagnet are similar, as a result repulsion.
The electromagnet has a high magneto motive force (mmf) because of the high current, it pushes down piston with an enormous force like the force obtain by burning fuel in the cylinder of fossil fuel engines. When the piston almost reaches its BDC, the current from the electromagnet is cut off, thereby, cutting off the force on the piston.
The flywheel returns the piston again for another cycle. The only heat generated is by friction and hysteric's loss, and it can be conveyed away safely by a stream of air, eliminating radiator. As it can be seen the system is almost noiseless.
