The principle of fractional distillation is thatdifferent liquids boil at different temperature.The miscible liquids boil at differenttemperature and evaporate at differenttemperature.When the mixture is heated, the liquidwith lower boiling point boils andturns into vapours. So the mixture isheated to a temperature at which oneor two components of the mixture willvaporise. Fractional distillation involvesrepeated distillations and condensations.
