1) even when tge vernacular act was passed people do printed nationalist newspapers and write about tge misrule of colonial power .like balagamgadhar wrote his book kesari in which he reported about punjab revolutionaries .

2 ) Print also helped in connecting people of different communities and not only stimulated the publication of conflicting opinions.
