Priya planted 5 saplings, in a row, in her garden. The distance between two adjacent saplings is
0.35 m. Find the distance between the first and the last sapling.

Answer:

You should make a drawing. From sapling # 1 to # 2, it's a distance 3/4 m.

From #2 to # 3 it's 3/4 m; from #3 to # 4 it's 3/4 m.

Total of these three distances is 3 times 3/4 m; 9/4 m = 2¼ m.

the distance is 0.35*4=1.4
