• money donated by arti = rs x.
• money donated by priyanka = rs y.

• So, x+y =1600
•            x=3y

             solving both the equations we get ,

                   4y= 1600

                      y=400

• Hence x= 3x400

                    x=1200.

The individual amounts donated by Priyanka and Arti are 1200 and 400 respectively.
