Priyanka buys the following items from a departmental store:
(a) Cosmetics worth ₹350
(b) Stationery worth ₹275
(c) Clothes worth ₹854
(d) Toys worth ₹568
If sales tax is charged at the rate of 16% on cosmetics, 8% on stationery, 5% on clothes and 20% on toys, calculate the total amount to be paid by Priyanka.​​

Answer:

Cosmetics : 350 + 350 *16/100 = 350 + 56 = 406 Rs

Stationary : 275 + 275 *8/100 = 275 + 22 = 297 Rs

Clothes : 854 + 854 * 5/100 = 854 + 42.7 = 896.70 Rs

Toys : 568 + 568 * 20/100 = 568 + 113.6 = 681.60 Rs

Total amount to be paid = 2281.30 Rs
