A particle has a mass of 10 kg and a velocity of 5 m/s And An impulse of 20 kg·m/s acts on the particle in the same direction as the velocity. What is the final velocity of the particle?

Ans

Answer:velocity of the particle 7m/s

Explanation:

Given,

mass = 10 kg

take, t = 1 sec

u = 5 m/s

momentum = m×v

=10 × 5

= 50 kg m/s

Impulse = force × t= ma × t

20 = 10 a × 1

a = 2 m/s^2

v = u + at

velocity of the particle= 5 + 2 × 1 = 7 m/s
