Heavy rain could cause great problems and could increase traffic jams and accidents on the road. First of all, heavy rain causes poor vision as the rain splatters onto the windshield of your vehicle  leading to several accidents - therefore causing traffic jams . It is also hard to hear the honking of other cars due to the sound of the rain which also leads to accidents.
