Economical effects of drought

Agriculture business that depends on farming, irrigation and fishing may lose everything when drought damages crops or livestock. Power companies that normally depend on hydroelectric power may have to spend more money on other fuel sources. Water companies may have to spend money on additional water supplies. People might have to pay more for food.

Social Impacts

Social impacts are ways that drought affects people’s health and safety and changes in lifestyle. Examples of social impacts include:

Anxiety or downfall about economic losses caused by drought. Health problems related to low water flows and that creates loss of human life. Reduced incomes which affect their standard of living. Migration from place of scarcity to place of abundance.

Environmental effects of drought

Drought also affects the environment in many different ways. Plants and animals depend on water, just like people. Lack of food and drinking water for wild animals. Increase in disease in wild animals, because of reduced food intake and water supplies. Wild life existence can also come to an end if the species keep on dying because of drought. If they didn’t get enough of water or food due to drought that will create an overall environmental problems.

The above were all the problems relating drought, there is only one solution to it grow more plants, avoid pollution, avoid every single waste of water.
