✧ In many of the Small Scale Industries, the capacity utilization is not even 50% of the installed capacity , nearly half of the machinery remains idle .

✧ There is incompetent management as it's run by poorly qualified entrepreneurs who don't have much experience .

✧ Since demand for raw materials is more than the supply , the prices of raw materials are quite high and so leads to shortage of raw materials .

✧ They have inadequate working capital and dont have enough funds to meet operational expenses and run the business .

✧ They are not able to match the pay and benefits offered by large enterprises as their revenues and profitability are low and uncertain .
