Goal: To fold an origami boat.

Materials:

A rectangular piece of paper

Instructions:

• Fold the length of the paper into half.

• Fold it to the side to make a crease near the top.

• Unfold it.

• Fold the 2 corners of the paper towards the crease line.

• Fold each edge of the paper upwards.

• Use your fingers to open up into a “hat”.

• Bring the corners of the hat brim towards each other.

• Take one lower end of the square and fold it upwards.

• Flip the piece over and do the same for the other corner.

• Open up the folded triangle.

• Bring the corners together.

• Pull the outer corners of the square, one in each hand.

• Pull until your boat unfolds.

• Turn the boat over.

• Expand the hole at the bottom.
