Procedure
1. Take an A4 sheet having the dimensions 30 cm x 30 cm.
2. Draw a line segment PQ of length 1 unit by taking 2 cm as 1 unit
3. Construct a line QX perpendicular to the line segment PQ, by using compasses or a
set square,
4. From Q, draw an arc of 1 unit, which cut QX at C(say).
5. Join PC
6. Taking PC as base, draw a perpendicular CY to PC, by using compass or a set
square.
7.From C, draw an arc of 1 unit, which cut CY at D (say).

Answer:

Starting with point O, draw a line segment OP

1

of unit length.

Now draw a line segment P

1

P

2

perpendicular to OP

1

again of unit length.

Here always we need to keep in mind that the measure of the line segment would always be a constant, i.e., 1 unit.

Now again daw a line segment P

2

P

3

perpendicular to OP

2

of unit length.

Again draw a line segment P

3

P

4

perpendicular to OP

3

.

In this way, we have formed a figure as shown in figure.
