procedure for opening a bank account

Go to the nearest bank with the following documents n some cash if u have a permanent address in India: 
1.Voter I card /driving licence/pan card for identity verification 
2.Electricity bill /phone bill or other valid document for address proof. 
3.Two pass port size photo (in case u do not have photo the bank has provision to take photo graph) 
4.Required cash for opening account (depends on the kind of account u want to open.It varies from Rs.1000 to Rs.10,000 ) 

If u r not an Indian but have a permanent address u can use ur Passport for identity. 

For depositing cash u can take the help of their ATM counter or call them to ur residence over phone to collect cash.For calling them to ur residence u need to be a priority or classic customer of the bank.
