Explanation:

AS WE KNOW PLANTS ARE HETEROTROPHS. THEY PRODUCE FOOD ON THEIR OWN USING SUNLIGHT AND CARBON DIOXIDE.THE LEAVES OF THE PLANT HAS TINY PORES CALLED STOMATA. THESE PORES HELP IN EXCHANGE OF GASES.DURING PHOTOSYNTHESIS,LIGHT ENERGY IS CONVERTED TO CHEMICAL ENERGY AND STORED IN THE FORM OF SUGAR..THE PROCESS BY WHICH PLANTS PRODUCE THEIR OWN FOOD IS USING SUNLIGHT AND CARBON DIOXIDE IS CALLED PHOTOSYNTHESIS.

THIS TERM PHOTOSYNTHESIS IS VERY MUCH IMPORTANT IN THE STUDY OF SCIENCE PART CALLED AS BOTANY .
