From my general knowledge in India places like Ladakh and Kashmir are the places that chiefly gets a special wool called Pashmina Wool.

Wool is mostly obtained from fleece of rabbits , sheep , muskoxen etc

In the world US Wool is mostly used. But due to the historical influences of India , it uses to make its own Wool.
