Given:-

  • Acceleration ,a = 2m/s²

  • Mass of body ,m = 20g = 20/1000 kg = 0.02 kg

To Find:-

  • Force required ,F

Solution:-

As we know that Force is the product of mass and acceleration .

F = ma

where,

F is the force

m is the mass

a is the acceleration

Substitute the value we get

→ F = 0.02 × 2

→ F = 0.04 N

Therefore, the force required is 0.04 Newton .

Additional Information

✧ Product of mass and acceleration is called force.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀OR

A push or pull of an object is called force.

✧ SI unit of Force is Newton.

✧ It is denoted by N

✧ Force is vector Quantity i.e., both Magnitude and direction.

✧ Mathematical term

F = ma
