Product of digits of a 2-digit number is 72. If we add 9 to the number, the new number obtained is a number formed by interchange of the digits. Find the number

xy = 72

so we think of possibilities which on multiplying give 72

i.e. 8 n 9

and if we add 9 to 89 i.e. we get 98 so the original no. is thus interchanged.

The number is 89.
