Let the present age of ramus be X.
Five years ago his age=X-5
Nine years later his age=X+9
(X-5)(X+9)=15
X^2-5x+9x-45=15
X^2+4x-45-15=0
X^2+4x-60=0
X^2+10x-6x-60=0
X(X+10)-6(X+10)=0
(X-6)(X+10)=0
X-6=0;X+10=0
X=6;X=-10
Hence,ramus age can't be negative so the and is 6 . His present age is 6

Let present age be x
(x+9)(x-5)=15
x^2-5x+9x-45=15
x^2+4x=60
x=6
x=-10
Since it's quadratic equation it has two solutions.
Since age cannot be in Negative
Therefore Ramus present age is 6.
