Let the numbers be x and x+2
=x (x+2)

Let one of the numbers be X
and the other be X+2

(X+2)×X = 360

X^2 + 2X = 360

X^2 + 2X - 360 =0
[splitting the middle term]

X^2 + 20X - 18X - 360 =0

X (X+20) - 18 (X+ 20)

(X-18)(X+20)

X= 18 ,(-20)
...............................

So the numbers are 18,20
Or in othercase (-20),(-18)
