Let the smaller no. be x

& larger no. be 3x

3x × x = 147

3x² = 147

x² = 147/3

x² = 49

x = √49

x = 7

Therefore, the two no. are

smaller no. = x = 7

larger no. = 3x = 21

Step-by-step explanation:

product of two postive numbers = 147

Let \: the \: smaller \: number = { \orange{ \fbox{\red{x}}}}

Greater number is 3 times bigger than the smaller number

Greater number =3x

product of two numbers = 147

3x * x = 147

3x² = 147

x² = 147/3 = 49

x^{2}  = \sqrt{49}

x = 7

{\pink{\fbox{\red{greater number = 7×3 = 21}}}}
