Answer:

Given :- chinmaya sells a piece of land for 15500 and he gains 5% on it. for how much did she buy the land. if she had sold it for 16275 so what percentage she would have gain or lose. ?

Solution :-

Given that,

→ Selling Price(SP) of land = Rs.15500

→ gain % = 5% .

So,

→ Cost Price(CP) of land for chinmaya = (SP * 100) / (100 + gain%)

→ CP = (15500 * 100) / (100 + 5)

→ CP = (15500 * 100) / 105

→ CP = Rs.14761.9

Therefore, chinmaya but the land for Rs.14761.9 .

Now,

→ CP = Rs.14761.9

→ SP = Rs.16275

So,

→ Gain = SP - CP

→ Gain = 16275 - 14761.9 = Rs.1513.1

Now,

→ Gain % = (Gain in Rs. * 100) / CP

→ Gain % = (1513.1 * 100) / (14761.9)

→ Gain % = 10.25% .

Hence, she would have gain 10.25% if she sold the land at Rs.16275.
