He write novels and poem about nature,his life incidents and many stories about the environment he like.he is very gentle and sensetive towards the nature and also cares for his environment.his first novel was The room on the roof. he has also recieved many prizes and awards like-sahitya akademi award,Padma Bhushan,Padma Shri,etc.
