Yes , I agree with this statement that profit is not an objective but a requirement of business. A business must earned profit because of the following reasons.

  • for long term survival - profit alone helps a business to continue to exist for a long time. A business in which the profit is earned or not profit is earned closed down quick

  • 2) for rapid growth - profit provides a sound financial structure for the growth expansion of business

  • 3) Increase the efficiency of business - It acts an incentive, motivin workers .so contribute their maximum worth to the enterprise.

  • 4) for building reputation and recognition - if business earns adequate profits ,it will pay fair and competitive rules to its employees
