Hello friends....
A prime number is a positive integer which is divisible only by 1 and itself. For example: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13

Example: Program to Check Prime Number

#include <stdio.h> int main() { int n, i, flag = 0; printf("Enter a positive integer: "); scanf("%d",&n); for(i=2; i<=n/2; ++i) { // condition for nonprime number if(n%i==0) { flag=1; break; } } if (flag==0) printf("%d is a prime number.",n); else printf("%d is not a prime number.",n); return 0; }

Thanks to you. -:)

Answer:

Program on prime number

Explanation:

#include <stdio.h>

int main()

{

   int n, i, flag = 0;

   printf("Enter a positive integer: ");

   scanf("%d", &n);

   for(i = 2; i <= n/2; ++i)

   {

       // condition for nonprime number

       if(n%i == 0)

       {

           flag = 1;

           break;

       }

   }

   if (n == 1)

   {

     printf("1 is neither a prime nor a composite number.");

   }

   else

   {

       if (flag == 0)

         printf("%d is a prime number.", n);

       else

         printf("%d is not a prime number.", n);

   }

   return 0;

}

Output :-

Enter a positive integer: 13

13 is a prime number.
