Explanation:

With the COVID-19 pandemic in place most countries have advised its citizens to remains indoors. In many countries, a lockdown has been ordered to prevent the transmission of the disease. This has led to several instances which were impossible to witness in our usual lives. From finding animals in the streets to breathing fresh clean air.

Clear blue skies and empty roads had become the rarest of rare sites in Delhi, which is always jam-packed with people. With the lockdown in place and lesser number of people venturing out in their cars, the pollution levels of Delhi-NCR saw a drastic fall recently. The city which had an Air Quality Index (AQI) ranging from 500-600 in winters, saw an AQI as low as 50. This is a good news for all the Delhi-NCR and more residents as they can finally breathe clean air after months of dealing with pollution.

Ozone layer healing

The sudden drop in pollution levels across the globe has led to a positive effect on the ozone layer. With less vehicles on roads and people being vigilant about their activities, the ozone layer has finally got some breathing space.

A scientific paper, published in Nature, heralds a rare success in the reversal of environmental damage and shows that collective global action can make a difference. The study also hint that full healing of the ozone layer might be possible in the coming time.

Animals on streets

People have been tweeting several images and videos of witnessing wild animals on their streets. These animals are seldom seen in public as they mostly reside in jungles and woods. Their emergence is mostly because of the peace and calm in cities, which attracted them to the residential areas. Animals such as deers, nilgai and leopards were seen in various parts of India.
