Ganga is getting polluted as maximum people wash their clothes, take their bath there, and some throws garbage. So in 1985 Ganga action plan was introduced to reduce the pollution load on river.

Also, as increasing of population, pollution is also increasing. because of pollution acid rain is taking place and causing change in colour of taj mahal from white it is turning yellow.
