Explanation:

Green revolution is also called as third agricultural revolution. It is a set of research technology transfer initiatives occuring between 1950 and the late 1960's that increases agricultural production worldwide. It became most marked in late 1960's.It adopts the new technology including high yielding varieties (HYVs) of cereals especially dwarf rice and wheat. It includes the new methods of irrigation such as mechanization.
