How many of us really aware about the importance of PUC of our vehicle. I hope everyone is aware about PUC, but do we really get it certified after actual testing or we just get the certificate to save our money after getting caught by traffic inspector?
There are several elements in the vehicle exhaust emission such as Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Hydrocarbons, and Nitrogen Oxides. Cars emit greenhouse gasses, such as carbon dioxide, which contribute to global warming. Some air pollutants and particulate matter from cars can be deposited on soil and surface waters where they enter the food chain; these substances can affect the reproductive, respiratory, immune and neurological systems. Nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides are major contributors to acid rain, which changes the pH of waterways and soils and can harm the organisms that rely on these resources.
The exponential growth in vehicle population and dominance of old vehicles on Indian roads make the issue of inspection for emission is a prime concern in India. There are several aggressive initiatives taken by the government for pollution control by introducing the new emission norms and fuel quality improvements. All in use vehicles are compulsory required to obtain the emission check certificate which is PUC certificate. This PUC is issued based on the idle emission confirmation for petrol vehicles and by free acceleration smoke test for diesel vehicles.
A very high smoke from a diesel vehicle can be seen by naked eyes which indicate that the vehicles engines health is not good and causing more pollution problems. Not only that, high smoke meant the vehicle is unable to utilize the fuel efficiently which can lead to poor mileage and more hydrocarbon emission. Apart from the smoke no other element can be seen by naked eyes so it is necessary to check our vehicle for PUC.
We never bother see the emission level of our own vehicle and we are becoming the cause of pollution crisis. Sometimes we give the money to the PUC inspector and get certificate without even testing it, are we not supporting to corruption. There are many things which are related to this small test which we always neglect.
It's a humble request to all of you, please check your vehicle with regular intervals for emission levels and contribute to control pollution. It costs only 30 Rs. For Two wheeler and not more than 100 Rs. For 4 wheeler.

Points:3In Hyderabad the traffic police carries out daily checks on vehicles plying without pollution under control certificate. If a vehicle is tested for the pollution, a sticker is provided to be pasted on the vehicle. If vehicles are not sporting those stickers then the traffic police shall immediately challan them for not adhering to the rules and new certificate has to be obtained.

As we are becoming more modern and industrial day by day we are constantly harming and polluting our mother nature.

This pollution is also the major reason behind the recent global warming and other contaminations happening in our nature.

To ensure a proper healthy environment for our future generation as well as for ourselves, we have to prepare this pollution.

To prevent pollution we can follow the steps mentioned below:

1) using eco-friendly objects in our daily lifestyle.

2)using bicycles rather than the fuel driven cars.

3)we have to stop disposal of waste materials in the wrong places where it can pollute the environment.
