The ratio of the input and output voltage depends upon the number of coils are there in a transformer:

  • As when Ns/Np, it shows the output voltage in the transformer depends upon the input voltage.
  • There is also the loss of power between the input and the output voltage   of the transformer.
  • The number of the turns of the primary and the secondary coils depend upon the two types of transformer that are discuss below:
  1. Step-up Transformer: In it the secondary coils are 5 or more than that times of the primary coils.
  2. Step-up Transformer: In it the primary coil is the 5 or more than that times of the secondary coils.
