HEYWELCOME TO MY PERFECT ANSWER-:)

Prokaryotic cells

  • The prokaryotic cells are the cells which do not have a nucleus.

  • The DNA/genetic material (nucleoid) will be freely floating in the cell cytoplasm.

A prokaryote is a unicellular organism that lacks a membrane-bound nucleus, mitochondria, or any other membrane-bound organelle. The word prokaryote comes from the Greek πρό (pro) "before" and κάρυον (karyon) "nut or kernel".  The first living organisms are thought to have been prokaryotes.

The nucleoid region of a prokaryotic cell is a region within the cytoplasm that contains the genetic material (DNA). As prokaryotic cells lack a nucleus, the genetic material is located in the cytoplasm. Many prokaryotic cells possess a single or few flagellum, which assist with movement.

Prokaryotes lack an organized nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles. Prokaryotic DNA is found in a central part of the cell called the nucleoid. The cell wall of a prokaryote acts as an extra layer of protection, helps maintain cell shape, and prevents dehydration.
