Answer:

A. Republicanism in the early nineteenth century revealed itself in social structures and religion. Republicanism was a political ideal that started with the founding fathers and continued in America, especially through the early nineteenth century. Republicanism was based on freedom and rejection of government control. Social structures changed in the family and in society. The term "republican motherhood" was coined, which encouraged women in families to push the social standards of what women could do at the time while still caring for children. This caused women to fill more traditionally masculine roles and jobs. This had impacts on households individually, but also on the societal view of women as a whole. The impact that republicanism had on social structures also impacted Religion at the time. Religion had previously treated women as less than men, whose sole purpose was to birth children and housekeep. But as women's social status grew, they were able to fill more religious roles. During the second Great Awakening, women publicly spoke about religion and freely exchanged religious ideas. This was a direct effect of republicanism on women's empowerment. The social structure and religion in America in the early nineteenth century was heavily impacted by the spread of the idea of republicanism.

B. Republicanism caused significant challenges to traditional beliefs and practices in the social structure at the time. The role of women, after being the same for a long time, had a major shift. Women were able to be empowered and feel more equal to men because of the new lenience that society had for it. Republicanism's idea of rejecting norms and fighting control allowed women to take on roles outside of motherhood. Republicanism changed the American value system, which majorly changed women's role in society.
