sec^2 A = 1+ tan^2 A
and cosec^2A = 1+ cot ^A

we are given √sec^ A + cosec^2 A = √1+tan^A + 1 + cot^A
= √2(1) + tan²A + cot^A
= √tan^A + cot^A +2cotA tanA {∵ cot A * tan A = 1}
= √(tan A + cotA)² = tan A + cot A = RHS
