If possible, let us take (3- root 2) as rational; then,

{(3-root2)-3} is also rational

or, (- root 2) is also rational

This convicts the fact that (- root 2) is irrational. This conviction arises by taking (3-root 2) rational.

Hence, it is proved that (3-root 2) is irrational.

HOPE THIS COULD HELP!!!
