assume p/q be a rational number equal to sqrt5

p/q = sqrt5

on sqiring both side

p^2/q^2 = 5 ^2

p^2 = q^2*5^2

so in that way it seems that sqrt 5 when multiplyed by same number result real number 5 so it is not rational number .
