Answer:

  • when we add the Bromine in promine it give yeilds of 2-bromopropane. we can proof this according to markovnikovs rule . it forms intermediate as a carbocation. the 2°carbocation is most stable in this reaction.  

  • if we add the benzoyl peroxide the same reaction will occurs. and yeild is 1-bromopropane. but this reaction occurs by free radicle mechanisim.
