Universal Indicator Definition : Color change is used to identify pH values. The most common universal indicators are:
red 0 ≥ pH ≥ 3
yellow 3 ≥ pH ≥ 6
green 7
blue 8 ≥ pH ≥ 11
purple 11 ≥ pH ≥ 14
Acid:
An acid is a substance which forms H+ ions as the only positive ion in aqueous solution.
base:
An alkali is a substance which forms OH- ions as the only negative ion in aqueous solution.
A base is an insoluble hydroxide.
