hey mate.here is your answer.

Firstly we should know what is Thyroid gland?

Thyroid gland: Thyroid gland is a large ductless gland in the neck which secretes hormones regulating growth and development through the rate of metabolism.

Function:

The thyroid gland uses iodine from the foods you eat to make two main hormones: thyroxine and Triiodothyronine .

It helps to regulate many body functions by constantly releasing a steady amount of thyroid hormones into the bloodstream.

The thyroid gland produces hormones that regulate the body's metabolic rate as well as heart and digestive function, muscle control, brain development, mood and bone maintenance.

The function of the thyroid gland is to take iodine, found in many foods, and convert it into thyroid hormones: thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3).

hope it helps you.
