Biodegradable plastics are plastics that are decomposed by the action of living organisms, usually bacteria.

Two basic classes of biodegradable plastics exist:[1] Bioplastics, whose components are derived from renewable raw materials, and plastics made from petrochemicalscontaining biodegradable additives which enhance biodegradation.

Biodegradable plastic are known as biodegradable waste which can be degradable after 400-500 years .
Disadvantage are :-
it causes harmful gases when we burnt it
it can be recycle for ones if we use the plastic bottles it may cause effect on our health.
