Properties of covalent compound are
1 .Electrons are shared ( no ions)
2. Only non metals are present (NH4 will be ionic )
3. Low melting and boiling point
4. Don't conduct electricity
5. Normally don't dissolve in water

Answer:

PROPERTIES OF COVALENT COMPOUNDS:-)

☆Covalent compounds exist in liquid or gaseous state due to weak covalent bond.

☆ Covalent compounds have low melting and boiling point.

☆ Mostly covalent compounds are partially soluble or insoluble in water.

---> Few polar covalent compounds are soluble in water.

---> Mostly covalent compounds are soluble in organic solvents

☆ Covalent compounds are poor conductor of heat and electricity due to absence of free ions and free electrons.

☆They are form by mutual sharing of electrons in between two atoms so sharing take place within a particular direction

☆ Their molecular reactions are slow.
