The periodic table is a tabular arrangement of the chemical elements, ordered by their atomic number (number of protons), electron configurations, and recurring chemical properties. This ordering shows periodictrends, such as elements with similar behaviour in the same column.

hey mate...

The phenomenon in which repetition of similar properties of elements occurs or reappears at atomic number intervals of 2,8,8,18,18 ,32 is called periodicity and these properties are called periodic properties. These include atomic radii, Ionisation potential, Electronegativity,Electron affinity etc.
