Prophecy means to make predictions of what will happen in the future. But, we hear often that future is unknown . So, do you feels making predictions about the unknown future is meaningful? Justify your answer.​

Predicting encourages children to actively think ahead and ask questions. It also allows students to understand the story better, make connections to what they are reading, and interact with the text. Making predictions is also a valuable strategy to improve reading comprehension.

Although future events are necessarily uncertain, so guaranteed accurate information about the future is impossible. Prediction can be useful to assist in making plans about possible developments; Howard H. Stevenson writes that prediction in business "is at least two things: Important and hard."
