People would have impaired immune systems and be more susceptible to skin cancer and cataracts. Ultra-violet rays could also cause premature aging, eye damage, and suppression of the immune system. Furthermore, the UV rays can even harm the health of young children. These devastating effects resulting from exposure to ultra-violet rays can cause the deaths of many people. The protective layer of ozone that helps prevent the penetration of the sun’s ultra-violet light is known as “good ozone.”
