yes, it's true coz I'm a khasi from Meghalaya and I took my mother's surname . But the men do not live in their mother in law's home infact they live in their own built homes with their wives and children.

Yes the fact is true ... I'm a Khasi too

if a Khasi women married a men and have children, the children's surname is from the mother and the second one it depends if the men could live with his mother's in law and the girl's family ...then it is true but there are some who doesn't live..due to some reasons example: maybe the girls house is too far and the men doesn't wants to be apart from his family, or base on the children's need like going to School, they had to move in their own house and just live among them
