It is very easy to prove 1 = 2, but we all know it is wrong. But, most of us don’t know how to prove it wrong. I will tell you both how to prove it (1 = 2) and how to prove it wrong.

1=12

We can also write that, 1–1=12−12

And this is true we all know that.

Now, applying formula [a2−b2=(a+b)(a−b)]

Then, 1–1=(1+1)(1–1)

Till this all steps are correct.

Now, divide both side by (1–1) We get, 1=(1+1)∗1

Thus, 1 = 2

Now the question is how we can prove it wrong? We have to find what we have done wrong in proving. We have done wrong in the step where we divided both side with (1–1). 1–1 = 0 and we cannot divide anything with zero because it is undefined.
