Let us assume that 3+root2 is rational
Hence 3+root2 can be written in the form of p/q
Hence 3+root2=p/q
Root2=1/3*p/q
Root2 =p/3q
Here p/3q is rational and root2 is irrational....as irrational no’s cannot be rational
Therefore, 3+root2 is irrational
