If possible 5+√2 is a rational number.

5+√2=p/q(where people/q is a inte

gar,pis not equal to zero.)

5+√2=p/q

√2=p/q-5

√2=p-5q/q

irrational number= rational number

This is a contradiction

our assumptions is wrong

5+√2 is a irrational number
