Assume AA and BB are independent. Then
P(Ac∩Bc)=1−P(A∪B)=1−P(A)−P(B)+P(A∩B)=1−P(A)−P(B)+P(A)P(B)=(1−P(A))(1−P(B))=P(Ac)P(Bc)
