x+3 = 0

x = -3

Now,

 p(x) ={ x}^{2}+8x+15 = 0

p(-3) = {-3}^{2}+8×(-3) +15 = 0

9 -24+15 = 0

24-24 = 0

Since, LHS is equal to RHS i.e 0

Hence, proved
