Let ,6+√2 is rational no.

6+√2= p/q
p and q are co prime no. it have no common factor
then
squarring on both side
(6+√2) ^2 = (p/q)^2
36 +2+2×6×√2 = (p/q)^2

(38 + 12√2)q = (p)^2/q

put q = 1,2,3 4 _____

(38 + 12 √2 )×1 = p^2 /q
we know that 38+12√2 ,it have no common factor so this contradi tion is wrong . then it is irrational
and

NOTE :-if any value have root then it is irrational becoz any rational no. have n9 root .__________________________
similarly ,again √5 is irrational no.

hope it helps u
