Force

To prove:

   F = ma

Explanation:

F is force applied, m is mass, and a is acceleration.

Newton’s 2nd Law of motion, states that the rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the force applied in the direction of force.

let us consider a body of mass m, which is moving with the velocity v.

The linear momentum of a body is  p = mv , where m is mass and v is velocity.

F ∝ \frac{dp}{dt}

F  = k \frac{dp}{dt}

F =

F =

F = k ma

Experimentally k = 1

∴ F = ma

Hence, proved.
